Webinar: Smarter Streets Start with Smarter Detection: Comparing LiDAR, Radar, Cameras & Inductive Loops

About the Webinar

As cities modernize their traffic infrastructure, the tools we use to detect and manage traffic must evolve too. Join us for a deep dive into the technologies that have shaped traffic detection, from the early days of inductive loops to the latest advancements in LiDAR-based solutions.

This session is designed for traffic engineers, DOTs, integrators, and contractors who are evaluating detection solutions for intersections, highways, and urban corridors. We’ll explore how each technology - loops, radar, cameras, and LiDAR - performs in real-world environments, and how they fit into today's needs for accuracy, safety, and long-term efficiency.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How detection technologies have evolved over the past decades
  • The pros and cons of each method: loops, radar, cameras, and LiDAR
  • Where legacy systems still apply—and where they fall short
  • Why LiDAR is emerging as the next standard for modern mobility
  • Key criteria for evaluating your next detection investment

This is your chance to cut through the noise and get a clear, practical understanding of the technology landscape, so you can make smarter infrastructure decisions.
